Episodes of sore throat are quite common now that it’s getting colder, and a nice cup of Ginger infusion could be the remedy you need to feel a bit better. As we know, fresh it’s always best, however, for those days that you don’t feel like peeling, slicing or grating, the Natural Ginger Flakes can be the perfect alternative. You will save some time in the kitchen and still benefit from the ginger therapeutic properties.
Here below we have prepared a Ginger Infusion recipe that you can follow to create your own; but feel free to change the amount of ginger you use and/or the steeping times to suit your taste.
Kettle or saucepan
Teapot with infuser or ordinary teapot with strainer
Ingredients -Serves 1 cup (200 ml)
1 tsp of Natural Ginger Flakes
200 ml of filtered water
1 tsp of honey (optional)
½ Lemon squeezed (optional)
Fresh mint (optional)
Bring the water to a boil
Add the Natural Ginger Flakes to the teapot and pour the hot water in it.
Cover with lid and let it steep for 3 minutes for a mild flavour, 5 minutes for strong and 7 minutes and above for extra strong flavour.
If your teapot does not come with an infuser, use a strainer to remove the ginger flakes.
Add fresh lemon and honey at your discretion
Relax and enjoy!
