WHAT IS COCOA HUSK TEA?
Cocoa Husk Tea is simply the shell of the cocoa beans.
After cracking open the pod, the seeds inside are extracted and left to ferment.
They are then dried under the sun - that's when they take the name cocoa beans - and roasted.
After roasting, the shells are separated from the beans.
The nibs will be sent to the grinder to make the delicious chocolate that we know.
The shells will become a lovely loose leaf tea.
The cooperative where we ethically source the cocoa husk tea from only use fairtrade cocoa beans, 100% natural and grown without the use of chemicals.
